With the kind assistance of the Anuradhapura Fire Rescue Department, the University Security Division, in collaboration with the Department of Human Resource Management, organized and carried out a training on “Fire Safety” as a two-day program. All security personnel, sub wardens, students from the Department of Human Resource Management, and other interested non-academics were the target audience for this program, which included both indoor awareness exercises and outside practical ones.
The Vice Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Prof. (Mrs.) G.A.S. Ginigaddara, the Registrar, Mr. AMGB Abeysinghe, the Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, Mr. Sujeewa Weerasinghe, and the Chief Security Officer, Mr. Thivanka Chandrasekare, as well as representatives from the Anuradhapura Fire Rescue Department, attended the workshop.
