The Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, is excited to announce the 15th Annual Research Symposium, set to take place on 08th February 2024. Under the coordination of Prof. M.G.T.S. Amarasekara, this event is set to be an exceptional gathering of knowledge and innovation, showcasing the research experiences of 131 students. The participants will be involved in 10 technical sessions centred on “Towards Food Sovereignty through Sustainable Agriculture.” These sessions aim to investigate and broaden the scope of agricultural research. A special session is also being arranged for students enrolled in the MAgri Postgraduate programme, reflecting the symposium’s emphasis on promoting higher-level academic endeavours. The day promises to be instructive and exciting, concluding in the evening with the final round of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, during which students will demonstrate their research prowess in a dynamic and concise format. This symposium serves as more than just an academic event; it reflects the university’s commitment to influencing the future of sustainable agriculture.
