The Rajarata University Alumni Association (RUSLAA) successfully arranged a colorful “Back to University” event on January 27, 2024. It was led by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Mrs.) GAS. Ginigaddara and took place on university property. Almost 300 proud alumni from all faculties attended. The day was full of excitement as alumni participated in volleyball, table tennis, cricket, and other sporting events with great enthusiasm. Alumni families also relished the occasion, watching as their children delighted in the fun games provided.

Prof. Ginigaddara gave a brief update on the university’s recent accomplishments during her speech and extended a heartfelt invitation to them to continue contributing to its growth. Prof. Sena Nanayakkara, Mr. PDNK. Palihena, Librarian Mrs. Asoka Siriwardana, Dean of Technology Dr. TC. Bamunuarachchige, Dean of Management Studies Prof. PMB. Jayathilake, and Mr. DA. Wehalla, head of the Department of English Language Teaching, were among the distinguished academics who graced the occasion. Following the award ceremony, Vision Care Optical Services, Anuradhapura, provided scholarships to RUSL students. The Vice-Chancellor and the alumni, including the RUSLAA President, had a cordial conversation on increasing alumni involvement. Later that evening, the university planned a fun DJ night to round off the festivities.
