From January 6 to January 16, 2024, the Department of Physical Education hosted two Fresher’s Tournaments for the 2019–2020 and 2020–2021 batches. Approximately 1100 students competed in various sports at the 2020–2021 batch Fresher’s Tournament, which was actively supported by all six faculties. In addition, over 800 students took part in the Fresher’s Tournament for the 2019–2020 batch across five faculties.

Sports activities included Football, Hockey, Netball, Volleyball, Rugby, Swimming, Table Tennis, Weight-Lifting, Track and Field, Carrom, Chess, Cricket, and Elle. Throughout these many competitions, students demonstrated their abilities and sportsmanship.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Prof. GAS. Ginigaddara was present at the final awarding ceremony, which took place at the University Playground on January 16. Vice Chancellor together with all Deans, the director of physical education, the Librarian, and the sports staff, and many academic and non-academic staff members.
