The Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka hosted the inaugural program for the 2022–2023 batch on January 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Professor Sarath Edirisinghe Auditorium. The Dean, the Assistant Registrar, and the organizing committee arranged the program to welcome the parents and new students of the 2022/2023 group.
Dean’s awards were given to four students for their outstanding achievements in research, extracurricular activities, and academics at this ceremony. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Mrs.) GAS. Ginigaddara and Emeritus Professor PAJ. Perera presented medals and certificates to recognized medical undergraduates. The Keynote speaker for the event was Emeritus Professor PAJ Perera. Deans of the other five Faculties, all the Heads of the Departments, all the academics, and the Assistant Registrar of the Faculty attended the event.
