On 15th February 2024, H.E. Mr. MIZUKOSHI Hideaki, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka visited Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He visited the Japanese Language Laboratory, donated by the Japanese government, located at the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities. The Vice-Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka Prof. (Mrs.) GAS. Ginigaddara and the Japanese ambassador discussed the process to Strengthen the cultural and educational ties between the universities in both countries.
Reverend Professor Olaganwatte Chandasiri Thero, Head of the Department of Languages and Mrs. Nimesha Dayaratne, Lecturer in Japanese Language organized the event. The Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, and academics who completed their studies in Universities of Japan attended the event.
