Rajarata University of Sri Lanka signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), the main regulatory authority and the Professional Body in the Accounting field, marking another milestone. This ceremony was held on 12th December 2023, at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, with the participation of Prof. (Mrs.) G.A.S. Ginigaddara – Vice Chancellor, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and Mr. Sanjaya Bandara – President, Ms. Lankmali Priyangika – Acting Chief Executive Officer and other delegates from the Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. The Department of Accountancy and Finance, Faculty of Management Studies is the coordinating body of the MOU.
In parallel to this event, an awareness session followed by a discussion session on this MoU were conducted at the Faculty of Management Studies with the participation of Prof. P.M.B. Jayathilake – Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Dr. (Mrs.) R.M.N.C. Swarnapali – Head, Department of Accountancy and Finance, Heads of other Departments, Lecturers, students and delegates from CA Sri Lanka. The objective of this MoU will facilitate to share knowledge and skills between the two parties and granting scholarships and exemptions to become chartered accountants.
