The Vice Chancellor of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Prof. (Mrs.) G.A.S. Ginigaddara, served as the Chief Guest at the opening of the Students Centre of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, which was completed under the AHEAD Project on 6th April 2023. The ceremony was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Prof. Thusitha Mendis, Deans of other faculties, the Director/OTS, Prof. Janaka Gunarathna, Professor E.M.S. Ekanayake, Project Coordinator, AHEAD Project of the Faculty, many academics and non-academics, and students.
The centre is consisted of cafeteria, bookstore, soft skills lab, student activities room, faculty quality assurance cell, business incubator, and career guidance and counselling unit for increasing student participation and encouraging undergraduate characteristics developing them.
