The Agroecological Laboratory in the Department of Agricultural Systems, Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University, was ceremonially opened on September 29, 2023, marking an important milestone in the development of sustainable agriculture in Sri Lanka. The coordinated efforts of the Erasmus+ Curriculum Development in Agroecology (CDAE) project allowed for this outstanding accomplishment. The Faculty of Agriculture now has this new laboratory. The Vice Chancellor of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Prof. (Ms.) GAS Ginigaddara, was the Chief Guest for this event, which gave the proceedings more prominence. Professor GVTV Weerasooriya-Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. SMCB Karalliyadda, Head of the Department of Agricultural Systems, Dr. AMKR Bandara- Manger of the project, and all academic and non-academic staff members attended the event.
