The 15th Annual Research Symposium of the Faculty of Agriculture (FoA) of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) was conducted on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the faculty premises in Puliyankulama, Anuradhapura.

“Towards Food Sovereignty Through Sustainable Agriculture” was this year’s symposium theme. Prof. (Mrs.) GAS. Ginigaddara, Vice Chancellor of RUSL, was the chief guest of the inauguration session, which took place in the auditorium. Other attendees included Deans of other RUSL faculties, Prof. MGTS. Amarasekara, Coordinator of the Symposium, Dr. Nimal Chandrasiri, an environmental economist and former deputy director of the Central Environmental Authority who is currently a council member of RUSL, professionals from various research institutes in Sri Lanka, academic-supportive staff, non-academic staff, and undergraduate and graduate students of the FoA, RUSL.

Subsequently, the scholars who demonstrated exceptional effort were granted the 2022 Excellence in Research, Scholarly, and Creative Effort awards.
