On July 19, 2023, the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka hosted the book launch ceremony for “Natha Deva Wandanaye Prabhawaya Saha Wikashanaya-(The Origin and Evolution of Natha Deva Worship)”. Professor Ajith Thalwatta from the university’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities wrote the book. The keynote address was delivered by the Emeritus professor Daya Amarasekara, University of PeradeniyaDaya .
The most venerable Pallegama Siri Sumana Rathanapala Hemarathana Thero-the chief incumbent of “Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi” Anuradhapura, Venerable Dr. Valahangunawewe Dhammarathana Thero – the Chief Incumbent of Mihinthale Royal Temple, Venerable Dr. Kallanchiye Rathanasiri Thero -the Chief Incumbent of Abhayagiri Vihara, Venerable Welihene Sobitha Thero – the Chief Incumbent of Mirisawetiya Vihara, the Vice Chancellor, , Deans of all faculties , academics, Registrar and non-academics of the university attended the event.
