Aiming at commercialization of an Ayurvedic skin care soap, the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka Entered in to an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with L.B. Kangara Aushadhalaya (Pvt) Limited on 25th of September 2023 at the premises of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor (Mrs.) G.A.S. Ginigaddara, the Vice Chancellor of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, and Mr. K. M. P. M. Kangara, the Managing Director of L.B. Kangara Aushadhalaya (Pvt) Limited.
Rajarata University of Sri Lanka has successfully commercialized numerous research outcomes through its University Business Linkage Cell, with many more discoveries poised for commercialization in the near future. “Ayurvedic skin care soap” is a product developed jointly by the Faculty of Management Studies and the Faculty of Technology of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. This soap is rich in antioxidants, which plays a pivotal role in shielding skin cells from potential harm inflicted by unstable molecules known as free radicals. The other compelling aspect of this product lies in its elevated total fatty matter (TFM) content, signifying superior quality when compared to numerous soaps already present in the market.
